Our Story
Ecriture Studios is a song of praise — a meditation on the word through the medium of bridal garments.
We are concerned with the spiritual space that the viewer inhabits. Garments in celebration of relationship as sanctuary, and the beauty of interior worlds colliding.
Our event “A Mother's Wardrobe” is an intimate collection of vintage garments; the fabric pages through which a generation's personal history unfolds. You are invited to step into the fragmented remains of a family home, remembered through the space's ‘lived in’ interior. Curated antiques evoke the familiarity, warmth and community forged by the entwining of two souls.
Everything within this world — from the decor to the packaging — is an extension of this ethos; tactile, nostalgic, handmade with the love and care of a home cooked meal, a crocheted blanket, a toy made from cereal boxes and magazine cutouts. These objects are sigils carrying the fingerprints and stories hidden deep within us.
